Since the new TA has passed, I am once again interested in flying for Envoy. What I am unsure about is the new flow agreement. Is it safe to say that a new hire will definitely flow to AA later in their career? What is a realistic time frame (10 years) ? Forgive my ignorance on this matter, I know there are some unknowns.

What are some other advantages/disadvantages to choosing Envoy as a new hire vs all the other regionals that are hiring?
Disadvantage is 3+ years of reserve and reaching the 4 year pay cap. Reserve is tolerable you live in base but if you plan on commuting then I suggest looking elsewhere. You'll have a better chance of getting hired at AA off the street than waiting 10+ years for the flow.
There are plenty of other airlines that offer more career potential, Envoy would certainly not be at the top of my list.

Or, you can still go to EGL and get hired by AA off the street

If the flow is in place and so many have bailed, why is reserve 3 years? If one was hired today how long to upgrade and then flow?

Airline is shrinking as people leave so essentially someone's relative seniority never changes.

When I quit the most junior CA was a 2007 hire and the union projected me to flow in 2020 as a 2011 hire. I felt that number was optimistic.

Off topic - Want to thank you guys for all of the jumpseats out of DFW. Especially those who take the walk up the jetway to make sure the agent is doing the right thing and getting us on board. The DFW gate agents can be somewhat obstructionist to the poor offline jumpseater just trying to get to and from home.

I appreciate you guys.

Granted, I left a few months ago, but the last 3-4 months I was at Envoy I never sat on RAP or ready because i always had a trip assigned for every single day I was on RSV. I doubt the staffing levels have changed enough for people to not fly on reserve in DFW.
