So, you guys have been cleared for Caribbean and Central American ops. Seems like a big step for more flying from MIA using those 175's you're getting.

Why would you say a joke? Here is the deal, I'm a transitioning mil guy trying to plan for the future. I will not be living in base of any airline but have an easy commute to DFW. Do I want to fly for a regional? Hell no. Would I like to stay current until hopefully a major calls? Yes. If you can explain how to remain current without going to a regional please explain. In the mean time I guess I'll just return the calls from the recruiters and ask them.

Are you referring to the list of SARA airports on page 3-21? If so you may want to look at the revision date. It's 2014

What is the current junior base?
How likely is DFW out of training?
How long on reserve?
Junior base right now is DFW. It is only a 145 base so you have to be placed in that equipment. The CRJs are leaving slowly so you will probably get the 145 and DFW.

Reserve time is a good question. CRJ drivers have spent around one to two years on reserve. ERJ three to four. This is hard to say because with so many pilots moving to different equipment and the new 175s coming on property it is going to be a lot different.

FFS. I hate the fact that people are actively trying to help sink their own airline.

If envoy calls, take the damn job. DON'T take the signing bonus if you don't plan on staying.

You can bail at any time if you want.

Not that envoy is really wanting to hire anybody right now, they just pay it lip service.

I didn't mean to be rude but I'm sure you've noticed by reading the treads that Envoy has/is going through a great deal of troubles. There appears to be limited hope going forward unless substantial changes are made.

If you go to Envoy and get DFW, which as I mentioned before is quite likely at this point, be prepared for 3-4 years of reserve. Reserve entails 11 days of but also subject to Junior Mans due to staffing constraints.

As someone else mentioned, I would avoid taking the signing bonus just in-case this whole thing continues to blow up and you want out or another opportunity arises. Either way you won't have to worry about repayments. It would appear that Envoy is being subjected to intentional wind down. I hope that's not the case but with monthly news continuing to get worse and worse, it would appear that way.
