That remains to be seen as far as where exactly it is they've buried the hatchet. Regarding the wording, that information would be very specific, yet they haven't released any specific info regarding that meeting.
One of the Reps I personally spoke to said they were drafting a letter to be released to the DFW base regarding the meeting. It has been held up due to the breakdown in DFW due to the weather. I personally have been through hell and back this week and I know the DFW CA rep was stranded a couple of times. It's been a sh!t storm in DFW for the past few days.

On top of that, their draft needs to clear ALPA legal before it can be released. Once things settle down and legal clears it there will be a base blast with more details than Sam gave in his email. In the mean time, call any rep and they can personally give you more information over the phone.

I guess we have to wait and see what specifics are released. Our reps released general info, but no specifics.

Default Training start dates

Would anybody happen to know what the upcoming new hire class start dates are for Envoy? I know they start every two weeks, but which weeks? I've received a "pre-offer" from Envoy, I'm now awaiting the formal offer, but I'm attempting to figure out which of the upcoming classes would work best. Thanks.

Looking forward to this letter that's about to be released too...

Angry? No. Cynical? Perhaps. Living in reality instead of starry eyed and willing to believe every "sweet" deal that is eluded to in vague emails? Absolutely.

I trust our current MEC to look out for our pilot group's best interests, but understand they walk a fine line as to what they can release as well. I'm tired of sell jobs on sweet deals (as defined by others with self serving agendas) and think this group deserves actions, not words.

DP and JG are not men of honor otherwise we'd be working under the 8 yr contract that was crammed down our throats 15 months ago. They have taken an airline which was fairly well run and in one year made it a place which is imploding. They don't care that it is, only that it's not doing it on their timetable.

I take no pride or solace in that, in fact I want Envoy to thrive for many years to come. But they've created a runaway train and I don't feel this management team has what it takes to stop it.

Perhaps you feel differently. YMMV

NEED HELP...A friend of mine wants to quit his job at a FBO to enroll in American Flyers to get his CFI CFII MEI and join the instructor pipeline program. He had the ATP written completed before the deadline and he says he has 24 months to reach ATP restricted so he can hopefully be in the new hire training with envoy. Is this a good idea since he is single with no kids that he has to drag across the country. He has around 11k in the bank and will get CFI certificates in 30 days and will start instructing afterwards in the pipeline program. Is this a good idea??? He has a job secured after getting is CFI CFII MEI. He also mentioned living in base at DFW. Is there anything he needs to know or will this be a good idea. He also says if he doesn't meet Atp requriements in 24 months it will cost him $15-$20k for his ATP. Hes basically going all in. Thanks for your help.

How many hours does he have now? If he wants to instruct getting his CFI tickets would be a good thing.

My prediction is that within a year just about every regional out there will be offering the CTP program as a part of their new hire process, so I wouldn't worry about trying to beat that 24 month clock if that's going to limit his options, or put him in a risky spot financially.

Again, the above is my opinion only, but as many regionals are already offering the CTP, it seems plausible.

He has 375-400 total. He says he will be flying 90-110 hours a month. At that rate I would think he could build some pretty good time. Maybe by the holidays he could possibly be on his way to envoy. He mentioned that Envoy has issues but maybe hes reading it online like myself. But he would like to live in the DFW area since he has family there in the area. He's also in the process of renting his house so that will be additional income as well. I don't think its a money thing with him at envoy. I think he is more looking for overall happiness as a guy in his mid 30's with a masters. He got tripped up by the recession.
