The flow is dependant upon AA retirements, resignations, and what small growth may be planned.
That flow creates CA vacancies. Once word is out that it is happening exactly as they said it would; watch how fast the classes fill up. AAG will just recycle them all again. The smart ones will get in first.

New hires will always go wherever the planes are and wherever the career progression is. In the past that was the quickie upgrade factories. These days it will be enhanced flow throughs combined with a relatively quick upgrade...say under 4 years.
The onus now is on the company to materialize all of this.

Well, ANNOUNCEMENTS aren't spankings, my misguided friend.

Even WITH a bombshell announcement occurring which you imply as imminent, unless you can fuel your engine with 50 pilots of high-octane new-hires (that complete training and STAY to make the AA flow work all the way to your exhaust pipe) each and every month, your car just conks out and drifts to the sputtering to the shoulder of the road....and that spanking will take many, many months, so I'm not going anywhere too soon.
Again, I understand motivations you may have for finding a bunch of pilots to risk being the ones simply being tasked to push your vehicle far enough down the road to get YOU where you need to be, but that might not be the best plan for those who push and I've seen nothing but inflated hard-sell sales pitches from not only Wilson, but even more so, you.

Now, you've got dueling managements all jockying for the best sales pitch to staff THEIR AA regional airline, that's all. Promises and optimistic projections are easy to make, don't cost a dime and have no downside. In fact, this EXACT approach has been used before at Eagle/Envoy to lead and lure dopey pilots and so, if you've got little else to work with (Hashimoto's BIG moves came up empty), it's worth a shot !
Can't blame them at all, really. I mean just look how some have not only taken the bait, but are shopping it around to others as a full time job on multiple forums.

The regional industry will continue shrinking. To avoid being recycled, a pilot needs to pick carefully. It's much easier to hunt for a mainline career when you aren't contstantly having to worry about yours going out of business or being bought as staffing fodder. Envoy is the smart move right now; they'll be getting in ahead of the rush.

Why? because we're the better place to go.
There's still tons wrong with how they run our place; but go read some of the crap the others are doing to their pilots.
50% flow to fill all the AA retirements, and soon to be non-stop upgrades not dependant upon growth.
People have been hanging on a long time for the upgrades, to get off reserve, to stop worrying about being downgraded, to stop worrying of going back down onto reserve. Letting them see the light at the end of the tunnel is a good thing.
Yep, it's a good time to be an Envoy pilot

It's simply all hopeful promises and projections. Sure, AA might have X retirements, but that DOES NOT automatically mean all present Envoy pilots will be there in 6 years. The salesman wants you to believe 1+1=6 and that's simply fuzzy math at this point.
