Envoy will be here long after many others have failed, only to have their pilots recycled at the surviving carriers. Sorry to burst your bubble; but it's the Silvers, Mesa's, TSA's, and Gojets of the world that will become staffing fodder. Look at CommutAir, down to properly staffing just 13 planes. The smart ones will make the move to a WO before the consolidations ever even begin. The two best currently are PDT and ENY
Do you think they will stand idly by while their core business is gutted by the raiding of their feed ?
Your high, my friend, quite high.
The regional industry will continue shrinking. To avoid being recycled, a pilot needs to pick carefully. It's much easier to hunt for a mainline career when you aren't contstantly having to worry about yours going out of business or being bought as staffing fodder. Envoy is the smart move right now; they'll be getting in ahead of the rush.
I know misery loves company, but just because a large percentage of the current crop of Envoy pilots have a history of being duped (by their union as well), doesn't mean it's admirable to lure in even more gullible chumps.

Sure, Envoy may very well be around, but WHAT "Envoy" is at some point in the future and what OTHER airlines are part of it (or Envoy becomes part of) is a wildcard. You forget that many of the other "staffing fodder" carriers that you claim will fuel the future Envoy fly for Delta and United, yes ?

Of course it will shrink, but only someone delusional would think THEIR regional will suck most of the other pilots up like a black hole using a scheme that could be nullified within weeks by proper response from the two entities that would have the most to lose and YOU KNOW (or should) that making a rash move to Envoy now over the latest carrot claimed to be juicy and delicious would be a foolish move. At least OTHER pilots should consider that, in my opinion.

Your reasoning is that DL/UA will magically come steal the pilots.... in other words, create a flow through direct entry program to keep the pilots at their regional feeders...
So, you'll believe it when DL/UA do it, but insist that AAG will fail, even though they're already doing it.....
That's your argument???
You're just full of hate and can't even make a rational explanation of why AAG's flow plan won't work. It's already sent 481 guys in the past few years. That's almost 1/4 of our current list.
Hate all you want. All evidence is to the contrary of what you're saying.

The flow is dependant upon AA retirements, resignations, and what small growth may be planned.
That flow creates CA vacancies. Once word is out that it is happening exactly as they said it would; watch how fast the classes fill up. AAG will just recycle them all again. The smart ones will get in first.

now play reality; the places with realistic upgrades are getting pilots. Places like ours where the upgrades are NOT because of growth will continue to have upgrades while the others stop. Where would you rather be?
an upgrade in 18-30 months once you have the mins, where you know the upgrades will continue behind you so you don't spend your life on reserve, and that you will flow to AA with no interview at all in uder 6 years.
OR
an upgrade in 18-24 months once you have the mins, where you HOPE they'll hire enough behind you before the growth stops so that you won't be stuck on reserve forever. That once the growth stops, so does the quick upgrades, and then so does the new hires.

Play devils advocate. Assume not one single guy comes through the doors... Our whole list still flows to AA inside of 6 years.

With or without Envoy's flow to AA, all the regional airlines are going to have to shut their doors inside of 5 years. You see that right?
There will be more retirements at the airlines than the regionals will be able to staff.
