"Ah yes. William Shakespeare, the famous 19th century poet."
The Bard of Avon was born in 1564, and died in 1616. Maybe 16th - 17th century poet.
He died at age 52. Would have still been in the cockpit.

I can only hope! Btw, nobody is conspiring to talk crap about you. It's just that everyone on here finds you annoying, that's all. I'm sure it's the same case for those unfortunate that have to fly with your grumpy ass. You're making a lot of money, yet still live a miserable existence that consists of hanging out on a regional airline pilot forum. Go get laid or something.
I'd be here far less often (as despite your childish claims, I do have a life). It's laughable you claim to know how those I fly with feel about me based on the internet. By the same token, I'd say those that fly with the rock-throwers here must indeed be miserable themselves as you offer nothing but airborne rocks. Little or no discussion or debate of the issues, just thrown rocks.
It's ALL you've got.

It's all good. Keep it coming Cujo. Clearly you see the big picture and tell it how it is, while not being emotional. The news blasts are much better and info is factual. It is not all bad at envoy. Not all good either. This is a good job. QOL issues are slowly being dealt with.
You can dwell on all the negatives, but this place will never be perfect, but a constant work in progress. Thanks for the good work and all your time.
Let's all stop bashing each other and try discussing the issues! It gets real tiresome reading pages of garbage mud slinging.

It DOES appear the required hiring at Envoy is sagging and the deficit of needed future pilots is increasing. Envoy will effectively need 35/month each and every month to not fall behind unless they plan to lose very few pilots to carriers other then AA over the next 12-18 months and that is indeed a TALL order. Of course, Eaglelounge demonstrates all is not well at Envoy with much b****ing, arguing and union disputes. It belies and airline pilot group that is VERY dysfunctional and has been for many years, even decades with less and less to show for it each and every year.
It's a bad trend in the wrong direction and since nothing has really changed, it's difficult to see the present group of pilots breaking out of their turbulent thunderstorm (most of it self-imposed) into the clear blue sky followed by throngs of doves as Mason frequently implies. The only certainty I see is the abundance of future entertainment in both mirth and melodrama.

Cuj, if something happens and Envoy closes, somehow you can't fly anymore, or you retire......you've got a gift! It wouldn't be any problem for you to transition over to your local GM or Ford dealership and start pushing the latest models out the door OR even better...the used lot could use a top notch sales guy such as yourself.

I haven't posted here since the 8th, so I'm hardly obsessed and in fact wouldn't be posting today if snipe hadn't requested my presence in his convoluted way. Obviously, some can't live without me and call me back like snipe did. Gee, our last interaction was almost cordial and now another unprovoked whistling rock comes whizzing by and then..........well, shortly after that more of the usual suspects gather to blame ME for tossing the rock back from where it cometh.
The relevance of your "former" employee claims are impotent for purposes of discussion. Why ?
Well, many of YOU post on other airlines threads to which YOU don't belong (legacy, LCC and regional). You see, that's how this forum works..............it doesn't matter where a pilot is or has gone to, if he does NOT work for the carrier discussed in a particular forum. Claiming there is some protocol of legacy pilots not posting on regional forums is bunk. Many regional pilots post on legacy and LCC forums, including Mason.
But, when your goal is to attack individuals instead of debate issues, that all there is.................thrown rocks.
I guess some of you just can't live without me and when I'm gone for too long, a rock must be thrown to restart our fun.
Rock (and message) received and understood.

envoy pilots to receive new iPads for flight deck
After months of coordination with American, we’re pleased to announce that all Envoy pilots will soon enjoy a fully-sponsored company Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program. “Beginning next year, American will purchase new iPads for all mainline and regional pilots, along with a 750MB domestic data plan,” said Captain Ric Wilson, Vice President Flight Operations. “The goal is to complete the iPad refresh during 2016 and have all pilots, including Envoy, participate in the same EFB program.”
Moving to an electronic flight bag will enable Envoy to fully transition to electronic documents, including manuals, full color weather charts and mobile Crew Check-in. “The announcement of this investment in EFBs is not only a clear sign of AAG’s desire to see Envoy succeed, but it also represents a tangible quality of life improvement for our pilots,” said Sam Pool, MEC Chairman, Air Line Pilots Association.

Well now you will have a company iPad that will GPS stamp your checkin while in airplane mode. Also that data plan will tell them where you are when your calling in sick. Don't get me wrong there gonna be great, but I garentee you somebody will get burned by it.
