This to me is another indication that ultimately, since there will be no favorites, that any affiliate can and will be used for whatever purpose is temporarily useful to them wholly-owned or not. It's just another reason why I see the claims Envoy in particular can provide X to anyone in the future to be folly as it is not likely to resemble its present self in size or mission within a couple of years. Based on that likely morphing into whatever (or whomever), I find the flow and thus upgrade projections to be truly the reading of tea leaves and the present or recent past being a poor indicator of the future.

I just think most there would be best served operating from and acknowledging a position of cautious suspicion rather then irrational exuberance or in some cases delusional fantasy.
as a former eagle and current envoy pilot, i agree with this statement.

A LOT of maturity.
So mature that you like to use emoticons every other sentence. Fine, I'll use language that you can understand. You make me LOL...

Now, let's get back to the subject at hand. the new policy applies to everyone involved with AAG ( AA, WO, OA ... ), and regardless, it is still a great benefit to have and, at least to me and my family, very useful. I certainly hope very little else will change on that front. I personally think that it was just a realignment of policies and don't read to much into it.

My experience at Envoy so far has been pretty good. Most of the new hires I talk to are quite happy as well... Reserve is reserve but is pretty good if you live in base (like I do). Commuters seem to have gotten a relieve since you now get hotels and stuff. Pretty cool thing about reserve is you can proffer for open trips, airport standbys, and for RAPs (Reserve Availability Periods- which dictates when you're going to be called, etc.). It's a job, it's not perfect, but it's far from what some people want to make it seem like. Even if you get the 145, it's still a great plane to fly, especially for people coming from an instructing background like I did.

How exactly dose the new hotel offer/policy really work? More or less does it totally eliminate the need for a crash pad if you are going to commute in? I am a Minneapolis local but have had interest in flying with Envoy and wanted to get some insider information; thanks.

Also, once you receive a class date does from Envoy, do they send you home for the six week CBT training?

If an overnight cancelled and you are in base: you get a hotel room.

If you pick up premium OT you get a hotel in base the night before the trip and another at the end of the trip.

Plus you get 4 additional hotels in base at your discretion.

Unofficially if there is wx preventing you from commuting, Off Scheduled Ops, etc. they are getting extra hotels nights that aren't counted against the 4 you can request.

I haven't had to pay for a hotel room since policy has been put in place. RSV and commuter.
