I would look into regionals that will give you a line in 2-3 months and where you can start bidding for more hours and make a bit extra $$. There's tons of those out there with similar if not better contracts.

Which airlines give you such a short reserve time?

PSA has no reserve at the moment at the TYS base. Other bases are just a couple months.

TYS, unless you live in a major hub, that commute is a double leg.

Does anyone knowing Skywest has a long reserve in most of their bases?

I didn't know that. But nobody want to go to Skywest, envoy, Xjet or a place with a long upgrade. You know, because being the CA quicker is the best path to a major (sarcasm).

At envoy if you're on RSV and don't proffer or call to verify your schedule, they call you at 12:00am and give you a 10am reserve avail period, which is basically a long call.

Meant to say does anyone KNOW. using one-hand keyboard on my iPhone 6 plus and its doing weird autocorrection Sorry!!

Is there a difference between being on reserve and long call? Don't really know how things work other than being on reserve means you are on call. ??

So
No reserve or short: compass, PSA, GoJet
long reserve: envoy, Skywest, republic, ExpressJet

It's also the best path to a bigger paycheck, (not sarcasm).

I can tell you when our planes start arriving next month TSA will basically have people going straight to line holder from class. We have a pretty dang good contract and a management that is actually friendly. I really don't know why more are jumping on as their seniority will be top half of the company within 2 years.
