Last time I checked I got hired by American Eagle and that's what is written on the sides of those airplanes. So yes, it was our flying.

Look for an announcement of ExpressJet flying coming back to us very soon. It was supposed to have been announced last week but not sure what the hold up was...

I forgive your ignorance, but now you know.

On a more serious note, you may want to educate yourself on the history of American Eagle and the hard fought battle that forged the many competing "contractors" into a single carrier that preformed all of AA's regional flying.

Its kind of hard to watch something that you worked and fought for so hard, being farmed out to the cheapest contractor staffed with a generation of people who think the world owes them something for just participating. You may not appreciate that now, but you will. Before your retire you will understand, because the next generation will get to divide up what you have worked so hard for.

I have many friends at Republic. I hate that they have to go through the bankruptcy process, on a personal level. But as a company, as a pilot group, I am glad that they will finally get a taste of the very process that has allowed them to grow and prosper. Corporate greed is great while it benefits you, but when you watch your livelihood get stripped away during a sham bankruptcy due to corporate greed, one often develops a different perspective over who "owns" flying and who has worked and sacrificed hoping for a little stability and reward for loyalty.

It will happen to you, you will understand.

Perspective is everything. This is why nobody will take you seriously. If you really believe that statement, nobody can help you.

Getting our planes back from Expressjet and TSA will be welcome news, but it still isn't going to necessarily improve employer/employee relations. It's like if someone came and forced you out of your house and kicked you out to the curb, then 2 years later came back and said, "hey, just kidding! Here's your house back! See, aren't I a nice guy?! I just gave you a house!"

I agree. The damage done by Parker's greedy money grab is irreversible and did more damage to the to AMR/AAG Corporation than any other one person has ever done. Of course, he did the same thing at USAir. He is like a parasite, looking for a host to feed on, but in the end, he kills the host. Given the looming regional staffing situation, what he did was stupid and lacked any logic or reasoning. Parker allowed his ego to dictate his business decisions. This is the same guy that B Bedford will be asking more money from.

No. Rumors are that they might get it in the next month or so. Just rumors.

We don't know yet. Last vacancy do not have any displacement. Looks like they want to use the 175 as a recruitment tool. Maybe mixing the class with some E-145 and CRJs, so probably the Jr SJS guy will be sad.

I never really understood why the airplane you flies matter on the regional level, when they all pay the same. The important factor should be where the aircraft are based. If you're a DFW local then I can understand not wanting the CRJ, but beyond that they're all the same.

Nothing is ever your flying to claim unless Envoy decided to start its own airline. Maybe you angry birds should look into it and sail away in that fail boat. Nobody is super excited to get your airframes, but I for one have respect for the plan as it is. You can't be so greedy as to think you should have all the aircraft to yourself. Now what I really wanted personally was some more Q300s and some Q400s, but alas. no one can seem to embrace the turboprop anymore. Well, except Canada, and Europe, and...wait a minute...
