I agree, CR700 doesn't have a clue about the real world. I think he is all silent right now, basking in the glory of their bonus. I think it's kind of funny. A bonus is a sign of desperation and can only be approved by the chief DUI drinker extraordinaire himself. The fact he is starting to feel the pinch brings me great joy.
Anyone Less than 8 years on the seniority list at envoy would be insane not to leave for Jetblue. 3rd year FO at JB clears more than anyone n Envoy's seniority list. CR700 weak troll is weak

I doubt very many Envoy F/O's (or ANY regional F/O) would pass up a class date with a decent LCC to stay an F/O for two more years and $20K or whatever it is (that would be about $14K after taxes or $584/month). Considering the slow crawl to AA that could stop in the future for any number a reasons, I think for most a bird-in-the-hand, so to speak..............

LCC's like Jet Blue, Spirit and Frontier will likely consolidate and so they have a likely decent future as Southwest will then have competition in like scale and thus bring stability to that segment of the industry. Just my .02.....

A former FO of mine who went to JetBlue did this in February. While I personally think it beats TYR/ GGG/ ACT all month long, YMMV. He has been with JB<6 mths.

I only offer this as a specific fact, instead of the generalizations of others. I hardly consider this a "lateral move."

I'd say that back when we were an airline of 3,200+ pilots, we TOLD you (management) that a staffing shortage was coming. Instead of holding on to a valuable commodity, you sent your attack dog union buster Jerry Glass against us to break the morale of this employee group over a cost difference of a few cents on the dollar per block hour. You threatened to Comair II us over a few measly dollars! Pilots left in droves, because you created such a hostile work environment here.

Now that things have unfolded just like we said they would, you don't have the warm bodies to staff your shiny new airplanes, even at PSA. Congratulations management, because now you will end up paying MORE MONEY in retention bonuses and new hire bonuses than it would have cost to simply honor our bankruptcy contract in the first place. Way to shoot yourself in the foot! *golf clap*

What's even more hilarious is PSA and PDT TURNING DOWN FREE MONEY FROM AAG because it wasn't enough, and then coming on here and complaining that envoy did!!! Management finally admits they were wrong and starts throwing money back at us, and these kids just don't get it.

Eagle use to fly everywhere from NY to LA and more destinations in the Carribean than Jetblue. That all went down the toilet.

What's so hilarious about? Envoy pilots it was a nice bend over. Hopefully, the money will be enough to fix your rectum.

There's nothing that Envoy management did that was "wrong." They used the information they had at the time to make the best decision for the company. Yes, this includes the pilot group as well. I know we as pilots often times think we know best but you have to realize that when you aren't privy to all of the information, there are things you can't see. The 30,000 foot view is constantly shifting as management deals with day to day operations. Thus you will at times see a reversal on something that was deemed appropriate months ago.

What you are seeing now is a continuation of that strategy. The bonuses that are being offered are unprecedented and just another solid reason why a new hire should choose Envoy. At times, attrition has been higher than management would like so this program should keep that in check. Yes, I understand that great opportunities arise from time to time, but it's mind blowing to see a super qualified Envoy pilot leave for a LCC when an AA job is just a few short years away.

"Unprecedented"? You mean industry-lagging. Endeavor has had bigger bonuses for ALL the pilots for some time now. Don't make it seem like AA and Envoy did this as an "atta-boy" to the pilots. This was to stop the bleeding for. That's all. Don't get me wrong though, bonuses are always good, but it does not show how strong Envoy is or how much "better" they are over another company. There are other serious issues that management has yet to address.

They screwed over the pilot group by demanding a concessionary bankruptcy contract in 2012, then demanded concessions again in 2013, and again in 2014, which we repeatedly rejected. To punish us, the company gave PSA the 900s in 2013 and gave Compass the 175s in 2014. Later in 2014, they began systematically dismantling our airline by giving our 700s to PSA, and our 145s to Trans States, ExpressJet, and Piedmont. (Let's not forget that we had already been shrinking since 2012 through the parking of the ATRs, 135s, and 140s).

It was obvious to us in 2013 and 2014 that the economic laws of pilot labor supply and demand would inevitably apply; however we were 2-3 years too soon, and in the meantime, we were severely punished for repeatedly refusing concessions. 2-3 years later, the company has realized they should not have punished us so severely and given away our planes. They now realize attempting to destroy Eagle was a mistake, and it was a mistake to scare away so many pilots and potential new-hires. This is why we're now seeing a last ditch effort to repair some of the damage they caused and trying to retain the FOs who are leaving in droves.

We welcome the change in direction, but it would have been in the company's best interest to adopt this direction 2-3 years ago.
