On one thing here you are right. The 2.5 is going to drop like a rock. When it all shakes out, I would expect 1.5 year upgrades or less.
You are flat wrong about why we are getting new hires though. Sure, the money helps but the main reason we are getting them is the flow.
A guaranteed job at AA is the great
equalizer among regionals. I will also go ahead right now and make a prediction that we will start seeing 70 new hires a month and better in the near future.

Where is the f/o staffing at now for LGA? Word is the next class is going to offer a lot of LGA slots, as will the class on the 19th. Trying to decide whether it's a good second choice.

Last class had 16 class before had 3. So still need about 16 to get to the vacancy number. I'm guessing there will be another vacancy by the time you get out of class so those numbers probably will change as people go where their seniority will allow.

Thanks. Has the actual number of aircraft being based there been announced?

On the drug test, no new is good news. You will never hear back that you passed. Your next question will be better answered by a new guy. Good luck.

It is mostly the money and the cherry is flow. We had a trickle of new hires prior to the pay inhancements with the flow already in place for several years. We are getting the new hires now. Hopefully we can retain them. I believe there is a lot of room for improvement in retention. It is a huge gamble for a new hire to stay put when all the legacies and majors are hiring like crazy. What does AA have to offer in transition? It is my hope that when flowing, AA will choose to recognize the years of service flying their passengers. After all, it is the same company. They are getting one over on us by starting over with sick and vacation accumulation. A new hire at Envoy will spend over a decade with no more than 2 weeks of vacation in its present design. Also, obviously improved schedules will help to retain.

Seems like you have been out of the loop for a while. Envoy classes were trending up all summer. We already were getting close to 40 per month prior to the bonus announcement. Add in a handful just for the bonus and you get where we are now. 50 plus per month and increasing. 90% of new hires are coming for the flow. If you hire on mid twenties or early thirties and spend 5 years and change at a regional then move to AA with just a transfer, you've got a major league career. Plus, as I said, the upgrade is plummeting. Out of that 5 plus spent at Envoy, it's very likely about 4 years of it will be in the captain seat.
