This summer there was a backlog, whether due to poor planning or the fact they felt the need to offer more E75 slots than they could handle just to get bodies in the door, regardless, they hired more than they could train. Now that they are offer decent wages and have more willing new hires, they are not offering any more E75 slots than they can train, meaning, the days of E75 students backlogs are probably not likely in the future.

Congratulations to all the new Envoy Captains who will get the good news on the 11th! Expect vacancy bids just as large if not larger every 2-3 months for the rest of the year.

Potentially increased flow to AA moving forward with one new base opening sometime this year and an additional 5th base by the end of 2017. That last one will coincide with 20 E175s coming to Envoy from another carrier. Negotiations on that deal are happening as we speak...AA is actually taking the other Regional to court to get them out of their deal from what I hear. AA wants those 20 additional E175s at Envoy yesterday.

So your basically saying Compass. Because AA owns some of Republic and wouldn't sue them...

I think if Envoy opens an LAX base which I'm guessing would come with those 20 175's they would take the west coast by storm in terms of attracting new hires from there.

Alaska just bought 30 175's and SkyWest operates out West as well along with Compass. I would say wishful thinking. Compass is under contract until 2020 for the AA birds. And they will not give them up voluntarily, it's their bread and butter birds. Don't get me wrong, I think a West base would be sweet.

SkyWest doesn't have our bonuses to offer. Nor do they have a flow. If you want LAX, and those initial 20 AA175s at CZ come home to MQ, we will be looking pretty sweet. If you want SEA, obviously we won't have much to offer there.

I get it, but those planes are under a CONTRACT to Compass. You can't just take them away.
