OR you need to start having limitations on Max Taxi speeds. (I don’t work at envoy, maybe you already do).
Who has a taxi speed indicator in the flight deck?

more importantly..

Is it “ in the flight deck.... or ...on the flight deck”? Back before our company was woke it was “in the cockpit”. Saying, “ in the flight deck” sounds weird. Thoughts?

The 175 does. Ground speed indicated on the PFD (GPS sourced)

burn a little kerosene - its cheap. definitely cheaper than possibly distorting an airframe into the salvage yard.
APU's are not free to run either. keep the engines on till parking

Ground speed on the left bottom corner of both PFD’s. It even has a horn to alert those clueless rampers. If that doesn’t work you can open the window from the flight deck and start screaming “Send the numbers!”. 🤬

Yeah the APU up number 2 shutdown routine has more to do with both passenger comfort (especially during the summer), along with giving them more time to make their connection. Most ramp crews are good about plugging in the GPU immediately, but that wasn’t always the case.

No matter the situation you’ll always have the seatbelt sign off faster with the APU up.

Envoy in general taxi slower than most. There's a caution if you go too fast in the E175 isn't there?

I fly the 73, haven’t opened the AOM for the 175 in 7 years. Someone would have better knowledge on that caution. I think you’re correct, I want to say it’s an Anti Skid caution.

From what I remember if you taxi past 30 knots ground speed you loose some of your breaking protection. I believe your wheels lock up if you attempt to turn going 30 knots.

yeah. Anchor automatically drops from where the tail tie down is and then it's a carpet dance at CPO for screwing up the taxiways

ENY limits Max taxi speed on dry surface 30kts Wet 10 kts. Rumored that FOQA is alerted when taxi speed exceeds 30kts.
