Thanks for the reply!

There are other things that you could try. Hopefully they work with you to figure something out. Just don't bank on having a vacation to use.
Ok gotcha!

So the guy who referred me has left Envoy. Is it too late for someone else to put their name on my app and get the referral bonus? I was looking forward to my half.

We have the ability to borrow from the following years vacation and by July you will have a week worth of vacation for 2018, however they are going to be denied due to staffing, specifically since you are likely to be asking for a weekend. I am not trolling you, just telling you like it's going to be.

The best advice I can give you is, plan a flexible weeding that you can schedule the month prior once you have your schedule or reschedule it for 2018 once you have vacation.
That's your best advice!!! That's terrible advice! For god's sake how can you plan to be flexible for your own wedding unless he's planning on just going to the justice of peace or something.

To the poster who asked the question about your wedding next summer do not buy into this. Yes you will be bottom line holder at best most likely reserve, but you can bid as much around your wedding and from there the CP office will absolutely work with you on this one. You WILL have off through the use of bidding, trading, PO, PVD, or all the above. If you can't trade or bid around it call the CP office with plenty of advance and they WILL work with you.

So the question is, how can one be so stupid?

Leave a guaranteed job with AA for anywhere else has to be the dumbest move ever.

Please, tell your friend what a mistake he has made.

American, of course, being one of the lowest paid major airlines.

I would not be so quick to say he will get off amigo. Remember that this is Envoy. I have seen guys turned down for PO and PE when their wife is sick in hospital.

He didn't have a choice. It was a resign or you're fired scenario due to an issue with a commuter hotel.
