Im not defending envoy but if you dont work here, you should not be telling people anything bad or good about this company because you dont work here.

No more stupid than coming to Envoy for the "flow." I know it's hard for some at Envoy to make the transition. Pre bankruptcy when Envoy was THE Eagle, it was a superior carrier in many aspects in terms of regionals.
It's hard for some to wrap their head around the fact that Envoy has fallen so far and is now just another run of the mill dirtbag regional. With a super long upgrade and long FO reserve on top. Why would you come to Envoy now over say, Compass or Piedmont? At least those places offer a quick trip to the left seat.

envoy's current reserve time is already at 18 months. It went from 4 years to 18 month in less than a 12 month time period. Care to guess what it will in another 12 months? Reserve and Upgrade times are fluid and current times are rarely a good indicator of future, whether good or bad. Do you pull last week's METARs and TAFs when planning a flight today?
When I was hired in 2004, there was only a few more classes before they stopped hiring for about 6 months and even then, it was slow hiring. Guys that were hired just a month or two before me spent just a month on reserve and I spent two years. Timing is everything and not everything situation can be anticipated.
Given the fact that we are seeing a large number of block hours being returned to envoy (25% increase in flying by the end of the first quarter) and based on new hire classes for the last few months, we will not have a grossly overstaffed reserve group that we have today and we will have many leaving off the top and coming in on the bottom keeping things moving. Reserve Time for a new hire today likely be around 9 to 12 months.
Reserve at envoy is one of the best systems at the regional level. Proffering and a highly regulated assignment process makes reserve a little more tolerable. Its still a regional but you have more control than most. Because of this, we have many senior CAs and FOs that bid reserve due to the QOL that they can attain.

Another wildcard in reserve is this: envoy currently has ~40% of pilots on reserve, the highest in the nation, by far. But if that changes, it will likely change for the better, vastly improving reserve times. Not a guarantee, but a potential positive.

I really don't care if people trust my identity or not. If you don't believe my information to be factual, then ignore me. Flames says that reserve at Eaglevoy is 18 months and dropping fast. Sounds like that isn't correct if you are on reserve after 2 years.

If you don't care if anyone believes you, then why do you post so often? Are there any more constructive ways you could give your ego a boost?

Personally, I think anyone looking to enter the 121 world today should be thinking more long term. As much as the reserve system will affect someone's life now, in 20 years, while flying wide body international flights on the 777, I don't think someone will remember their life on reserve at whatever regional. One has to balance between pay and qol life now with whatever course they feel will get them to a mainline seniority list the quickest (and with varying degrees of certainty).
Will envoy honor the flow or stop? Will RAH declare bankruptcy or shrink? Will Mesa still be able to attract new hires without increasing compensation? Will Commutair be bought by another carrier? In the end, I think one can only make an educated guess and hope for the best. If you would have told me years ago that TWA would be out of business, US Air would merge with AA, that AirTran would one day be Southwest and that a Colgan pilot would one day "flow" to Delta, I would have never believed it. Crazy Industry.

It's relative to other regional carriers reserve systems. They have to award proffers in seniority order and have to call RAPs in reverse seniority order. In the end, we are still working for a regional airline. But yes, I do agree, there is still much room for improvement.
