Going sterile? Is that you?!

All of my friends there have been FO's for at least five years. Don't believe any of them have upgraded yet.

2010 hires are going to training in the next month or 2.... 6 is not great but it's not 8.

2013 hires are within 400 of the upgrade. If we are able to send 40 a month then within a year the upgrade will be 4 years and shrinking.

Actually, the best time to be an envoy pilot is the day you turn in your company ID, knowing you will get a new one that says American Airlines the next day, and then drinking an ice cold beer with a huge smile on your face because you haven't kept a logbook current in over 10 years and you never spent a penny at a job fair!

Sounds like you've done nothing to deserve that job you are talking about. What do pilots like you do to earn your way into a job at AA, sorry I just don't understand, new to this game though.

I wish that was how the world worked. But it isn't.

I've done everything to earn the job I'm talking about. The beauty of it is, I don't have to. Sounds like you are new to the game...in the airline business, you are rewarded for your seniority-- not your merits. If I were rewarded for everything I have contributed to this company, and the safe travel I have given to my passengers, I, like the majority of my coworkers, would have been promoted long ago. Seniority it everything. Get in early.

I would say it's earned....spent upwards of 70,000+ on training most fought to build hour to get hired at an airline. Then you bust your tail taking care of your mainline partners or wholly owned carriers passengers and performance and everything in between I'd say yea flows a good thing!!! But hey if you wanna pay $500 and up to go stand in line for 6 hours to talk to a recruiter for 10 min go for it. There will always be those who do it the smart way and the other way!

5 years? So the guys flowing now have been there 5 years? Let me check with my buddies who are still there when we got hired 5 years ago, pretty sure they have still yet to even upgrade...

Short-sighted mathematics like your own have been addressed multiple times. Current flow time≠new hire flow time.

And since there person who posted "16 years" works at rah, they are clearly only concerned with new hire time to flow.

Seniority is everything. Esp for a new hire, and those considering Envoy as their #2 & #3 choice, may now consider Envoy as their #1 choice with this pay bump. Envoy is a safe choice.

Seriously, AWC, Mesa pilots should consider jumping ship... regional shuffle. Envoy, could be very last interview. QOL & mgmt relationship issues are being handled by union. Endeavor had worst problems with Delta Mgmt not even 2yrs ago.

We must always realize a Regionals is not a career destination. Get in get out
