I got CRJ ORD 19DEC16 class and I am also wondering this. Thx.

...the word from FOs I've been working with that are now holding lines says about a year on reserve.

It's a new page. Expect cr700 to post soon referencing daisies and pie.

There was a union communication that had the junior reserve in each status in November. I thought there was also one that had slightly more recent hire dates, but I can't find it. Anyway, here are the hire dates of the junior line holders, AS OF OCTOBER:

ORD CRJ FO: 12OCT15
ORD EMJ FO: 22JUN15
DFW 175 FO: 23MAY16
DFW EMJ FO: 20JAN14

Hate to break it to the new ORD CRJ FO's, but if they start sending the planes to PSA in the spring, then you'll probably be on reserve until you get displaced off the aircraft.

Nobody knows how long a displacement will take, and the company will try to hold off as long as they can. So if you're junior on the CRJ, you could stay junior on it until the last one is here.

Reserve in base isn't so bad, but if you're a commuter, take the ERJ in any base over the CRJ to get ORD. Just my advice anyway, YMMV.

Don't forget the true up though. At the end of the year the company has to true up any flows if they get behind on required numbers. That essentially could mean 40/month for the last three months of the year instead.

I just noticed that you posted this. True up at the end of the year to what, 35%? What contract language shows a yearly true up for the protected pilots? 40/mo for the last three months? You are literally just making up numbers with no contractual basis. Why not just say we might flow 80? Or 100?

Yeah this is incorrect and a widely spread misinformation. The only true up is at the end of the 824. When american has hired 1648 pilots. 824 of them must be from envoy. We are s little above the 50% now, so if we are withheld below the 50% for the next few months there will be a need for a true up.

ORD capt rep told me there isn't even a true up for the 824 that he was aware of.

From the 824 agreement. "Up to 100% of each class until 50% ratio is achieved, in aggregate based on the total number of new hire positions in aggregate overntime."
