How long does it take from submitting an application on airline apps to getting some sort of response? E-mail said 48 hours but that has come and gone... thanks!

Does anyone have an update on projected upgrade times on the 145? All bases?

I checked the Envoy page here and it says projected at 2.5 years...is that still true today?

Thank you!

Hey man, had some co-workers go out a few weeks ago. PM me for details.

Also, one of them, accepted for the RTP, said he was contacted yesterday regarding a change in when bonus is paid out for those in the program and regarding VA education benefits.

The army is starting to catch on to the rtp person at the AA WO airlines and are getting REALLY ****y about it. He said that the VA will no longer cover aviation certifications (unless through college) to make the jump more difficult from service RW to civil FW.

He said that he was told that was the reason for the bonus shift, so that the new guys could use it to pay for training, the way PSA currently let's you.

Again, this is second hand from a co-worker who is leaving for envoy (I've read his congratulatory email.) I don't know why he'd make up such a grand tale......but you never know.

Has anyone else heard or seen this?

I've heard the issue is that the VA will not pay for commercial AMEL if you're not already commercial ASEL and the way the training is done with Coast they go straight through to the end instead of in stages with checkrides and license/endorsements.

Check back on 5/3. That's when the latest vacancy bid will be run. Right now, most junior awarded CA has been here just over 3 years. This vacancy that is about to close will get us to the 2.5 year mark, or less.

Should take 48 hours or less. However, applications must be independently reviewed by multiple recruiters in order to be approved. The good news is... If you get the invite then know that you were vetted and selected for the interview directly by the pilot recruiters, not just staff assistants with instructions to call ASAP or schedule someone for a class date immediately after receiving a new app. Best of luck!!

Currently, the most junior pilot holding a captain status was hired in February 2011, so it's currently just over a 6 year upgrade. With recent vacancy bid awards, it appears that the upgrade time may get shorter.

As for the 2.5 year projection, they can "project" whatever they want, as a projection is only a guess.
