Thanks for the response! I didn’t even think about the 7 day conflict.

Also if you aren't DFW based then they will give you TD/Travel Days on both sides. 7D TD training 4days TD 7D.

Sure thing, your mentor should be able to coach you on this type of stuff going forward.

Hey guys, what’s the general time frame right now from application to setting up an interview? I’m right at 1300 hrs and sent my application in last week, and after fixing a couple of things on it, haven’t heard back at all. Should I call them to try and get an interview date set up?

Recruiting is swamped + it's close to being the holidays so not really sure what the interview schedule is as of right now. I'd try calling/emailing them.

Watch for the training 'day off'. I had 5 days built into my recurrency training. Showed my HI10 to a couple captains when they told me it should be 4 days and they didn't really know why it was 5 days, just said "maybe it's because you have a probi ride".

Turns out we had two days of ground in Dallas, a 'training day off', and two days of sims in Houston. When I called crew scheduling as to why I had flying on my schedule that looked like a 7 day conflict, they said it was legal due to the training day off. I'm not sure how that's different than a travel day since the day off is used to travel to a different city but it didn't matter anyway (I got displaced for IOE for the part that would have been in question).

And yes, they will leave a single turn on your schedule if you are legal for it.

If you take the signing bonus and leave before two years but pay back what you owe on the bonus are you disqualified from being hired at AA later on down the road ?

Sounds legally legal but not contract legal. A day off is one in base. Not houston

What about “lost days?” Are those considered days off, or just unpaid?
