That's like when they used to block OT from being picked up (they used to be able to do that) because we were overstaffed while simultaneously denying drops because we were understaffed.

But when we look for loopholes or gray areas in the contract we're being unprofessional troublemakers.

So here's what's up...both AAG, and especially Envoy management want to grow the airline. We're talking grow us back to the old AE size. So that throws any minuscule chance of flowing above the metered amount out the window. Any extra pilots they happen to find will be used to grow the operation. Envoy management will NEVER flow more than the metered amount. Ever. Anyone dreaming of sending more than 25/month for the PP group and the minimum amount beyond that is absolutely dreaming.

What is the deal with this extra 20G bonus? Have not seen this anywhere except on these forums. Why are they not advertising it if their intent is to attract prior 121 pilots? So this is a 20,000 bonus on top of the 22,100 everyone else gets? So you get a 42,100 check on day one of training?

Oh...my....god!!!! These idiots are relentless! They threaten us, scare away good pilots they invest in. Shrink the airline. Now it’s all “get the airline back”?🤪🤬🤪🤬🤪🤬

What's it look like for a guy that's been out of the industry for 8 years?

3k TT
2k 135 (Freight - Remember Starcheck?)

Would getting an interview/job offer be a challenge?
Training?

Just dipping my toes in the pool at the moment trying to gauge the temperature.

Any company would be tripping over themselves to have you work for them. The hand flying 135 freight experience sets you apart from a large portion of the applicant pool. The hardest thing for me when I came over was the speed of the aircraft in the training environment. Things happen fast at 250 kts. What were long gaps in the aero commander were a fraction of the time in the jet.

8 years is a while to be away, I would suggest getting IFR/multi current in a Frasca. I am not talking broad bush check some boxes. I am talking a proper ass whooping over multiple days. Spending the money on a real plane wouldn't be necessary as you have the fundamentals and need to knock the rust off. I also would have them spend a considerable amount of time with ground lesson(s) on approach plates / IFR stuff. Being able to finger fly non precision approaches is a valuable skill that you want to have mastered so you aren't distracted with mediocre IFR knowledge and Situational awareness while trying to fly a 50-76 seat jet sim with all of its own nuances and complexities.

Your first 121 oral is pretty daunting. The the thing to remember is Rome wasnt built in a day and trying cram at the last second is a recipe for disaster. A technique that works well for me but may be over kill to others, is I read the entire AOM2 (systems book) from cover to cover before we started systems class. I didn't read for thorough understanding but it also wasn't a casual skim either. The idea being that I wanted some loose concepts in my head before hearing the material in class. The other thing I do is show up to systems class having the aircraft limitations and memory items memmorized. This frees up valuable time in the evenings to work on systems knowledge, first flight of the day items, call outs and flows. The idea being that I am staying one step ahead of the class. There isn't enough hours in the day to catch up if you fall behind.

Good luck and feel free to reach out. There are a lot of us on here that are willing to pay it forward just like what has been done for us.

From what I understand, it is / was an experimental idea and they only offered it to a limited number of applicants.

I'd ask some recruiters first. Give them a call and ask them what you need to do to be hireable.

My only concern is that you may not make it through the CAs review board. From the stories I have heard recent experience has be one of the few sticking points for the CA review board.

The sad thing is that those on "The Captain board" have 0 PIC time.
