All these millennials crack me up thinking they should get bigger and bigger pay checks but not wanting to put in any effort what so ever in their job. Its a JOB people. working conditions at a JOB aren't always all sunshine and rainbows. Blows my mind people are doing everything in their power to NOT upgrade. Maybe its a good thing actually since the thought of these kids being in the left seat is scary as hell.
Maybe a lot of you should have went for a different career. Everyone has to pay their dues at some point in this career. For a lot of you it'll be in the left seat instead of the right like it used to be for everyone.

IMHO I think the union will continue fighting for that. Did u not read the email?
Why are folks still saying Endeavor? That’s the plan! Piedmont has news on the Horizon they will not be matching Endeavor either!
Endeavor is a smaller airline than Envoy. If we include PSA or Piedmont pilot groups (entire AA WO), can u imagine when the “me too” pay bump AA has to fork up just to keep up with Endeavor. At current oil prices AA will be lucky if shareholders don’t bail and the company stocks and valuation tanks. I can promise you, Delta is hoping to bank /profit on AA trying to keep up with both Delta & Endeavors Pay. Two different business efficiencies (ATL efficiencies makes Delta huge profits which is the envy of the entire industry. Also Delta huge profits come from, European destinations (Frankfurt hub in the past) tricked from under Pan Am destruction by Delta, now they profiting through out Europe from partners like AirFrance/KLM.) Delta is a different operational beast of an airline. Don’t forget the oil refinery they bought in PA also and profits from that baby!
We will get raises sometime soon I’m sure (pending decrease oil prices, normalizing / operational cost predictions). Due our size and the other 2 WO asking for “me too” decisions are never expected due to nature of our evolved industry. factors affecting a contract/negotiation change weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly. Things do take a long time. You get a win or draw when you can. Decisions include lawyers and support from many sides (ALPA national). This isn’t student government vs faculty. Neither is this freshmen class vs Senior class. Get involved in ALPA if you think you can do a better job and to learn the REALITY of the perceived leverage you hear in the crew room from another bran new FO.

Another thing to remember is that we have a history of blowing up negotiations with no votes. If we make pilot centric deals like this one, going forward, the negotiation committee may convince the company it is worth their money and energy to discuss reworking other sections of the contract like reserve and pay. This is an airline after all, and I like my job. Not worth burning the house down over a select few who want to make money without working, which is what will happen to the displaced line holder
