I know this has been said before, but I really hope that the union addresses how RAPs are not assigned until 5p. It kills me that we have to leave on a day off to get to base in the off chance that we get RAP1, S1, or an early start sequence.
I have no problem starting early on day 1, but hate how just as likely as an early start; we could get a commutable late start sequence and not have to leave a day early. I would love to bid for my RAP for the whole month during the bidding window.
I have reached out to my reps, but I hope posting here could get some traction and more people asking showing this is important to the pilot group.

This is something that needs to be done. No day 1 starts before 10 am.

Would be nice if we could just match mainline reserve system and streamline our operation. I mean If they can do PBS, long call, short Call, etc., with 15,000 Pilots we can do it with 2,900 Pilots.
Can’t wait for the gutting, overhaul, and improvement of our pre & post bankruptcy systems and mindsets. The flow should help brain drain resisting mindsets.

I am reading LOA 16-01 in the contract regarding lost OT flying.
As per paragraph i. On page 264. If I want to be paid the premium override. I must notify crew scheduling that I am available. I am then subject to reassignment for the duration of the day or 4 hours which ever is less and I am subject to a report time of 30 minutes.
Am I reading this right if I want to be paid the premium I need to go play airport standby for 4 hours?
This has only happen to me one other time. Under advisement from a peer I called scheduling noon the day prior and they said I was released. But in digging into the LOA that doesnt really sound like it was in compliance with the LOA. It was to my benefit.
Thoughts?

Just make sure you're looking at the correct paragraph for your situation.

Also make sure you email your pay comp auditor and let them know you made yourself available for reassignment and you’re claiming the premium rates for OT lost flying.
It’s not automatically credited unless you email them and ask.

So after nearly a year on reserve, I have watched more Netflix then I ever thought possible, read 7 400+ page books, walked miles upon miles in the terminals, my German is getting pretty good, and I discovered yoga is rejuvenating for not only the body, but also the mind and soul... all that being said, I'm bored. Not a huge video game person, but I've got nothing left up my sleeve. Anyone ever traveled with a gaming console? And if so, are you required to bring it out of your roller board at security if you're in uniform at airports without KCM? Thanks.
