Been discussed already multiple times some of us have significant others in the UAL afa and it's been noted. None have heard any rumors from the UAL side of the FA house. Many believe UAL would just foce their will upon the FAs (pay or other compensation) either way it will cost more money. I feel your last question is the biggest problem stINC has no incentive to make another competitor for them selves by selling XJT. Unless they have the promise of more of their 175 flying if UAL gets scope relief from ALPA which the recent article addressed directly.

Im sure it would be a minority stake, but money solves everything..If United wanted the whole company, money will take care of that with the FA union. Im sure thats probably not the most difficult thing UAL has to worry about. Stuff like this happens all the time in the corporate world, lawyers and money always take care of obstacles in contracts to complete acquisitions. I even mentioned that to my dad who was a top exec at a Fortune 50 company in Manhatten, he has been through many acquisitions in the board rooms and he said any "hurdles" he calls it that effect their end game will be taken down by either money or lawyer teams maneuvering around the loopholes which is in every contract. One word can change a contract. So, even he said "money talks" if United wants Xjt So, if anyone thinks UAL can't or won't buy a regional because of a FA contract is sadly mistaken. just sayin...

Don’t worry about united buying XJT. There will be nothing left. Place is shutting down. Many pilots leaving January.

I would say that this may be a true statement. The only flaw I see is the fact that many are just waiting to see if the UAL (NYSE UAL) acquisition becomes true. Nonetheless, I believe they would leave once they realized it's not true. I believe more like in February or March

True. No one wants to be left holding the bag. No 10k will keep anyone around until the bitter end. (Unless you’re 62.5 years old with 500 hours sick time..and even then you may want to be sure you can get your money.)

Has anybody else noticed the obscene amount of trading going on with Skywest stock during the last month? About 500,000 shares traded some days

Exactly. I started buying when it got down in the $8-10 range. Sold the majority at $39. Sold all the rest except for the last $1000 today. Good enough for me!

CommutAir is majority owned by an investment company. This investment company can still be part of a merged C5-XJT airline. Doesn’t necessarily have to be wholly owned right away and it would buy time to negotiate with the flight attendants.

I wonder if they could staff XJT with UA flight attendants...... hire ours, then just keep them in our planes.

Hope no one is still on the fence. They should bail ASAP.

The thing about mess opening an ATL base should tell you what you need to know about any United buying the place rumors.

Bail-while the hailing is good.
