Of course.

But market share=power. I doubt skywest will come off that.

How exactly is that gonna play out?

UA owns the 145. They tried to pull them to C5. I assume they would continue to do that if it worked that well.

What UA needs is someone to execute who has the pilots. I'd argue that INC/XJT is very good at executing. Maybe not a long the line of what pilots want but certainly along the lines of what UA wants. They just need to find a way to get pilots in (pay up, flow etc.)

Blackmailing SKYW on CPAs? Not sure that works either. SKYW owns the planes there.

Funny how everyone thinks they know whats going down... this has been in the works for awhile. Step one ASA gone. UA can’t own a regional that flys for another major ( don’t be fooled by the small AA flying, thats easily covered ) step 2,( happened awhile ago) SkyWest tell UA they don't plan on flying the 145’s longterm.. (money lossing cpa and looming pilot issues) UA has 2 options, try to ditch them to the leaser, and other regionals, or buy XJT and fly them tell they figure out a plan D...

Interesting. Sounds like they are setting up for a buyout.

If there is a plan they have about 2 1/2 weeks to figure it out and announce it. At that point it will become moot as the next mass migration on the CRJ starts 1 January. If there are no pilots any plans for extra 145’s goes down the drain. And the plan has to be substantial, some kind of flow. I don’t think any are going to stick around for the CPP.
Inc can talk a big game but I don’t think even they will be able to staff it though I could be wrong.

For reason I’d rather not disclose I’ll probably wait until February. After that, not sure. Maybe a lateral if nothing has cropped up by then. But I have a good deal of seniority that I would be giving up.

Even if they sell them before Christmas. It will take months, maybe years for anything substantial to get into effect.. such as flow or more planes ect..

All of this is moot to the ATL and DFW side of the house. The ASA side of the house has been burned to the ground. Even if the XJT side somehow survives with a United deal, it will mean the end of DFW. Such a shame.
