United Begins CPP with Aviation University

XJT is toast because management is standing around in a circle jerking their dongs. Not because UA doesn't need the lift. Right now a 10 year FO can go to another regional and make more at first year pay with a quick upgrade. The fact that we even have 10 year FO's is RIDICULOUS. (just spoke with one today) Status quo ain't going to cut it. XJT is toast if they don't change the trajectory, and fast.
But it's nice to see such unrealistic positivity. Keep up the good work. Maybe you should ask for an extra turkey coupon or try for a management position. They too are good at pointing out the nonexistent positives.

It's okay. I suppose you don't do nuance. I'll pass on the turkey voucher, by the way. Perhaps I'll send you mine. I'm sure you have stockpiled quite a collection over the years. It must be that gravy train that keeps you here.

Absolutely... HR played lousy games in the beginning. All indications are that things have mostly turned around, but some people are understandably still jaded.

Apparently, it's a zero-sum game. One must either believe shutdown is imminent within the next few months, or that status quo is fine and a 6 year upgrade is just swell.

I guess 0 new hires was slight hyperbole. But thankfully I have a business and can drop down to 19-21 days off per month every month in the ILIW. Add a sick call or two and I actually owe them money for benefits and such. But the health insurance and travel benefits are useful for myself and family. In all reality it’s just not worth coming in for this paltry wage. I don’t know how people live on it in a metropolitan domicile.
Hiring has picked up compared to this time last year. It's not enough to make up for attrition, so ultimately something will have to be done.

Readily accessible information and reality should suffice. I won't waste my time with a lengthy response to your sarcastic tone. In fact, I suspect you were never in the pool to begin with. The bitter, disgruntled, and entitled tend to be filtered out.
