Follow up to that, ORD reserve time?

ORD line and flight commute, or IAH reserve and drive able/short flight commute?

If you can hold IAH and drive it if needed, that is by far the smartest decision. Don’t commute to ORD just for a line. When winter storms hit you won’t get to work, or possibly get stuck and can’t get home. I used to be at Xjet, and the reserve is not near as bad as other regionals.

Could someone explain how reserve looks like at Expressjet?. I know IAH right now is between 8-12 months of reserve, and also that you get to fly 75-80h, or so I've been told.

Do you have any control over your schedule? how's quality of life overall while on reserve. (living in base).

Thx!
-11 days off on months with 30 days.
-12 days off on months with 31 days.
-You get released by 5pm on your last day if you go unused.
-You bid for days on/off and reserve call out periods.
-You can build relief lines with left over scraps, if you want and if you’re not at the very bottom of the reserve list.

If you’re living in base it won’t be bad, but again, 12 days off is about what you can expect.

Awesome thanks for the info. Is it true that I will fly my ass off during reserve?. I heard people at PSA were flying 20-30h on reserve for example.

Lucky me my career is my life right now, no other obligations, so the more the better.

Good work rules and plenty of flying is a winning combination.
