That guy you’re talking about never would have been a CA if not for the leave in the first place. The point of the EMP leave is to promote attrition. I know 3 people who left and came back, none of them were CAs.

I think that’s at completion of IOE.

People aren't "coming and going" willy nilly. If anything, this policy has encouraged pilots on the fence who might otherwise have stayed to leave. In the case of K4, I think only about 3% have returned but some of us might not have made the jump without that security blanket.

I assume soon after the American flying stops in January 6th. Holiday flying will be done. And, ExpressJet will be prime for an asset purchase by a new owner group led by United - leaving the liabilities with the old corporation and leaving SGU to deal with those liabilities.

Doubtful. Remember, we were here for the DAL ownership. A flow might tempt us, but that’s about it. Even a flow would be worthless for many of the older pilots who are now at K4. By the time a flow would be worth anything we would be close to retirement.

I bet there will be a major announcement coming. It will be a guaranteed interview with Skywest for those that are still with ExpressJet. United will not purchase ExpressJet so let that go.

Which is why I theorized displacements. Of those 90% a few may be senior Captains? It's never been discussed. Either way, if one goes through upgrade and is holding a base of choice and is involuntarily taken away from that choice, it sux. There's consequence to everything. Simple as that.
