The few bad apples have probably spoiled the whole cart when it comes to the perception of the CRJ guys. It would seem that there has been a tsunami of super senior guys who never flew in the ERJ system, yet have taken all the best stuff for themselves, and subsequently complain about it. I really don’t care anymore, and flynd84 will most likely feel the same way in a few months......but you asked an honest question, and I’m giving you my honest answer. Seniority integration bitterness takes YEARS to overcome, and that’s true at MANY airlines.
(If you take the emotion and biased wording out of his statement, flynd84 has a very valid point. If DAL was a better partner than UAL, why’d they screw you so hard? If you think it was JUST SkyWest.....I don’t know what to say to that. DAL hosed y’all........badly.)

The MEC chairman at the time all this happened was a complete 180 from the person you are thinking about. I have no doubt he would have done the same thing for the XJT pilot group that you guys did for us. He was (and is), a stand up individual.

I am jaded since I dealt firsthand with the ASA MEC in the beginning. There was a lot of “we bought you”. I still remember my first interaction with Newy.... It’s hard, plus there’s the current CA Rep in ORD who actively pushed for the ERJ pilots to be stapled.
Finally it rubbed a lot of ERJ folks the wrong way with the attitudes of the CRJ pilots coming over. Complaining about everything ERJ even though they got a lot.

btw who cares what Newy wanted. There is an ALPA merger policy, which was ultimately followed.
