We are flying a fraction of flights we were in the 2000's. Airlines have adapted, less flights = less pilots required. If regionals were doing 2.2 million departures a year like in 03, there would be hundreds of cancellations everyday due to lack of pilots.
You can't compare those numbers. 2003 they were flying 19 seaters doing 7 legs a day.
Number of departures is a silly measurement, when the industry has completely changed from those years.

Agreed. Three legs averaging two hours a piece is better than six legs averaging forty-five minutes each.

Block hours YoY is a better measurement of regional growth or contraction.

Kinda hard to have great performance when your previous parent company wouldn’t invest in the operation and was actively seeking to shut it down.

I do believe you are a Republic pilot correct? UA continued to award contracts/flying to Republic when they had poor performance metrics.

Something about glass houses and stones....
