Let's put it a different way that may be a little easier for you to understand.
Let's say we change our name from ExpressJet to ManaAir. We would then be 49.9% owned by United Airlines.
The other 50.1% is owned by KAir Enterprises.
100% of KAir Enterprises is made up of United Airlines executives, business partners, and investors.
It was designed this way to get around the United FA scope. If this is still hard for you to understand, I can make a pretty picture for you.

It seem like, for all practical purposes, we’re 100% CONTROLLED by United. Therefore, saying we’re owned by United isn’t really wrong from a practical stance.
Not to mention the concept of flow through ownership is very clear, which does indeed mean United owns 49% of Expressjet. There’s nothing exaggerated about saying it.

So, I’ve started looking around because the regional I’m planning on going to is up to 6 months for start to finish new hire because of training back-logs.
Wondering a few things. How is the training at XJT and it’s reputation among legacy carriers? Do they give xtra sim sessions if needed or work with candidates who struggle abit? I understand if you can’t pass muster than you need to be let go, wondering if they are willing to work with you a little is all as people learn at different paces. Does XJT still have the 7-8yr upgrade time, besides United are XJT Pilots getting calls from places like Delta or Southwest and also how are the health benefits? Wife has IBD so our medical bills can rack up if insurance isn’t too great.
Appreciate all the insightful input in advance. I know it’s asking a lot, haha, just want to see what other options are out there. Cheers.
