Default Six Month Leave to Improve QOL

This is a reminder for those pilots who have not taken advantage of the six month leave opportunity. Get hired at a 121 or part 91 and you can always come back to Express when/if the QOL improves. The more pilots that resign will grab the attention of management and UA. Take the rest of summer off and enjoy not being on reserve.

That only applies to LCCs or Majors. You can’t leave for another regional and do this. When you consider that, why would somebody come back if they got hired at one of those?

If I’m not mistaken, you can get hired at a part 91/135 and that qualifies for leave?

It is now in the contract: Part 91 and 135 are eligible.

That said, employment leave is only usable once in a 5 year period. Burning that up just so that you can avoid flying this summer is a pretty bad idea.

Something I’m wondering; is our 6 month employment leave unique to XJet or do other airlines have it too?

Not to mention, summer is almost halfway over.

Yep, lines and QOL will be so much better this Fall. Wait it out and enjoy reserve.

Quitting will also get managements attention. More people should do that.

Not sure if serious? Being on reserve here will never be enjoyable. There's so much attrition due to terrible QOL that staffing won't catch up.

11 days off a month minus 3 days a month is not something to "enjoy".
