Do you know if they’re still hiring on the 175? Would make sense with all the CA upgrades.

You’ll see a bid announcing FO 175 openings in ORD. Once the bid is done they will open it up to new hires. It will probably be 4-6 weeks or so before that all falls into place and new hires get the 175 again.

175: Why?
It's not AQP training.
The pay is the same.
There's less flying so your line will not be as adjustable to drop/add/trade etc.
Everyone wants the new shiny thing so seniority should move faster on the 145.
More 145 bases.
145 goes more places if you like variety.

Have yet to interview, would like to get the 175 out of ORD. I understand what others are saying that the 145 will have movement but obviously it seems that the 175 is the future. So I’d love to get onto that as soon as possible.

One thing to keep in mind is that waiting 6-8 months to start could end up costing you hundreds of thousands on the back end of your career. There’s no question in my mind that the slow upgrades you are starting to see at Endeavor will become problems at SkyWest and Republic. You can’t be that flush with pilots without ending up with slow upgrade times.
