"How and when do I get hired by United?
-United Airlines must be hiring pilots.
-You must meet United’s new-hire pilot minimum qualifications, as found on the United website pilot listing (United pilot position).
-You must complete the required service minimums, described above, with your United Express carrier in Aviate.
-You must be eligible to transition based on your First-In First-Out (“FIFO”) progression.
-You must remain in continued compliance with all performance standards.
-You must satisfactorily complete other customary United pre-employment screening requirements, such as a background investigation and drug screening test. You will not need to complete another structured interview, however, an Aviate program administrator will conduct a final review to ensure compliance with the standards of the program.
-You must be approved by United’s Pilot Selection Board. All applicants, whether from Aviate or the traditional process, must receive approval by the Pilot Selection Board.
Note, the Pilot Selection Board does not require any action by the participant, rather it is a overall review of a participant’s performance while in Aviate.
-A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred for transition to United Airlines, however select relevant leadership experience will be considered as a substitute. Determination of leadership experience (whether with a United Express carrier or elsewhere) in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is at the sole discretion of United.

"What is the selection process?
 If you meet all the eligibility requirements described above, you can apply to Aviate
via AirlineApps.com and via the United portal. Both a profile in AirlineApps.com
and United are required to be completed to continue in the selection process.
 Once your application is submitted, the United hiring team will complete an initial
screening. If selected to continue in the screening process, United will invite to you
interview at the Denver Training Center (or other location, as determined by
United).
 You will spend half a day onsite for the interview, which includes the following four
sections: 1. a panel interview consisting of behavioral-based questions; 2. a
technical interview consisting of aviation-specific topics; 3. a computer-based

Leadership Inventory and 4. a computer-based Becoming United cultural
assessment
Finally, a Board of Review will evaluate your overall application and extend an offer
to join Aviate if all screening criteria are met.
You realize off the street folks go to a board of review too? In the old CPP if you passed the HR interview, your package was given to the pilot selection board. Then there was a final review board when your number came up.

If you read the program you pass the 1/2 day process and the pilot selection board you get a CJO, just like an off the street. We never got a CJO till we passed the final review.

I went 18 months from passing the interview to getting a CJO, then a class date. It reads now that you pass and you get the CJO, then it’s FIFO. Many of us got pushed back by second timers.

It also clearly states that you basically have 2 options, be in Aviate or apply off the street. To apply off the street, you forfeit the Aviate program.

"Please know that withdrawing from Aviate may jeopardize your competitiveness to enter United through the traditional hiring process".

It's not "Industry Leading" and won't bring the new hires like United expects.

Please post the info you got that said no final review?

I totally understand the point of the review board, it makes sense to do a final check before hiring someone for potentially 35 or 40 years. I'm definitely optimistic and excited about the program. Hopefully it will be viewed in a better light than the CPP, and work more effectively.

No Second Round CPP Fails:

"-not have been unsuccessful in the United CPP or traditional selection process twice cumulatively."

Those who get to United will love it.

Those who "for some reason were denied at final review WTF??" will continue to complain here.

For a sharp young new hire after 2 years with a college degree, some volunteer work, and upgrade at the earliest possibility (1-2 years according to their projections) this looks like a great program.

“Time already spent flying with a United Express carrier in Aviate will count toward the above minimums, but you must spend a minimum of six months after your Aviate Board of Review performing regularly scheduled duties with your United Express carrier, regardless of time already completed.’’

Big scam! Need to fly another six months at the regionals.

We’re you expecting a flow? United has stated repeatedly they want nothing to do with a flow. There are rumors of AA change their flow parameters.

Because there are so many qualified applicants for the United Express entry point, you are only eligible to apply to Aviate once while employed at any UAX partner. If you are unsuccessful, we encourage you to apply to United via the traditional path.

Doesn't look like everyone will get a hogan.

FYI AA's flow is in its regional carriers contract.

It’s a joke. It’s a slap in the face to current Regional guys, sound like they want something like the propel program with Delta, mixed with CPP. Also It doesn’t say anything about how long after you have to wait if you fail, to get a second chance.
