Unrealistic in what way?

For one, pilots talk about schedules with days off not days working. Either way, working 14 days means you have 16 days off. No way a new hire line holder is getting 16 days off with a line award. Those lines are in the upper 10-20%.

$5 for exchange of PBS is a laughable joke.

This is true if a pilot just takes their awarded line and doesn't use either improvement window. In which case, my opinion, they don't have a right to complain about their schedule.

There’s no way to make everyone happy. I’m happy to go with the flow. I’ve heard so many people complain about both bidding programs.

$5 more. Way to set the bar sky high there. Endeavor rates or no deal.

Probably outdated but a good starting point. https://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines/regional/endeavor_air

The union claimed “pattern bargaining” when things were bad, but you don’t hear them saying pattern bargaining when there are regionals paying $20/hr more. The irony.

You know that’s not happening.

United is far too cheap for that. Not to mention it makes us less competitive for new airframes (175's) and growth.

People need to be realistic. You don't want to be at the top but you sure don't want to be in the bottom half either (where we are now).

Boy, thankfully you guys aren't contract negotiators. Obviously negotiating 101, they need to shoot for the stars on the first round say Endeavor + 1, they will knock it down and have a few rounds and maybe you'll end up slightly less but in the same ballpark. If you start with a fraction of that, you'll end up where we are now. If United is too cheap for a good contract then they'll continue watching this place dwindle into nothing. We shouldn't accept less because people are comfortable and want to have the security blanket of a regional job with some false promise of growth on the condition they work for subpar wages. This isn't 2008 anymore. This is a pilots market, these next few years will be very interesting.

From my point of view right now they are still shrinking this place and not really attempting to grow much (Still not offering 200-300% for flying, Most lines with 3-4 hours of sit time on each day). We have so many planes sitting around doing nothing and United is fine with it. As soon as this Aviate turns out to be a bust, and this 5$ raise that’s coming morale will be at an all time low. I’m usually optimistic but we have almost a year of proof with this management and it’s been more of the same.

Exactly what he said^

Aviate is a scam an they’re just limping us along like Commutair. United HALF wholly owneds are just to keep us in the fray with the rest of their circus feed.

Subodh is a cheapskate and he’ll never approve anything that brings us to the top of the heap to make us overly competitive.

If you think otherwise you’re dreaming.
