I know I’m not at your airline but I can tell you this: the track record of accuracy of rumors from our training center in virtually nil.

Fake news. I was let go from training with my class of 20 on April 30th. Radio silence since. Not holding my breath.

They have parked 75% of the planes (3 this week), most junior CA has 16-19 years in July. A cut of 600 - 800 pilots of 1400 would put most junior FO at 7-13 years, that is just not cost effective. UA has already stated 50 seat flying is going away. EWR has zero departures, ORD has 4 departures a day. There’s just zero chance company survives much longer than 2020, people need to understand that and seek other options now.

The rumors going forward sound bleak. I’ve heard that after October there will be 40 aircraft with ten crews per plane. Also that union email mentioned furloughs but not how deep is known yet. The virus is making a second round. Only airline that is doing well is spirit from what it seems

Alaska is adding the 175 to their mainline operations. We can expect United to do the same or try to going forward

youre right. Alaska is bringing the 175 to cities within the state of Alaska, but the flights will be operated by horizon.

that makes sense. I wasn’t sure if horizon would be operating them or not
