United ALPA has already been trying to do this.
However I doubt your rumor is not true. The news articles stated that Alaska will start flying the 175 into the state of Alaska. That does not mean mainline, Horizon and Skywest will continue to be the operators of the 175 for Alaska airlines.

Reiteration on what was already said on the LTD situation. Looking to see where we stand as a partner for United is unknown until those that survive, do. Biggest news was upcoming changes to reserve rules, although they couldn’t provide details. Should be final in a week or so is what they said.

This new site is the most poorly designed website I've ever seen. Even the stuff we made in my college computer class 20 years topped this. Unreal.

They just sent one out saying the site was successfully launched. How can they possibly say that when half of the things on there don't even work?? Still can't see the new scheduling software or the reserve list.
