just to be clear though - EAS and pro-rate is not the same thing.

EAS is subsidized by the Feds.

Pro-rate is “at risk” without subsidies.

Well if Wikipedia is correct, then that is a very sorrow sight for any UA operator hoping to fly EAS for United... It's all done by OO.

Why do you say that?
That’s not what Wikipedia says.

Wikipedia is the best thing ever because anyone in the world can write anything they want about any given subject; so you know you are getting the best possible information.

Every UAL EAS route is operated by SkyWest according to Wikipedia.

Wikipedia is only as accurate as the fact checking of those who write for it...

I know for a fact that C5 flies two EAS routes daily -- Bangor and Presque Isle ME. So, no...SkyWest is not the only operator flying EAS routes for UAL.

Also:
Bangor is not on WIKI and also not an EAS city.

This is correct. Augusta, and Rockland are cape air. Bar harbor is cape air (year round) and silver (in the summer) and presque isle is commutair.

The bankruptcy judge might not agree. Look at 2002-Tilton convinced the bankruptcy court he needed scope relief and got it. Then you had 9-10 regionals flying for United and whole mainline fleets parked.

Of course ALPA will file a brief/lawsuit in protest but bankruptcy court isn't about employee QOL, it's about creditors getting paid. If the company can prove that relaxing scope and outsourcing more flying to RJs will save cash to pay creditors, they will get it. Keep in mind the courts are now staffed with conservative business-friendly judges.

And all of this applies to RAH, SKW, XJT as well...

It applies to United as well looks like Mesa will be operating 737's. Any power a judge has to break scope he has to allow United to add Mesa 737's to United Express.
