Currently, here is the most junior pilot DOH in each base holding a line:
CLE - 10/17/2011 - 4 months reserve
EWR - 9/19/2011 - 5 months reserve
IAH - 6/6/2011 - 8 months reserve
ORD - 8/8/2011 - 6 months reserve
So if you want to look at what's junior right now, that'd be CLE and EWR. But that was different 2 months ago. IAH and CLE were junior. IAH is about to be back that way. We have a bunch of upgrades that are about to come out of IAH and FOs there will be moving quickly.
New hire are going to all bases. Right now ORD is looking really short-staffed next month. We have days with as little as 10 reserves.

Side question: For those of you that applied to ExpressJet on AirlineApps, what has been the average time to hear something back? It's been 6 weeks as of today and still have not heard anything. I keep updating my times evertime I fly so I keep showing interest. I am a former furloughed (U3063) ExpressJet Pilot that resigned when recalled since I was knee deep in my Police gig, but now I want to come back....so I'm not sure if I am black marked or what......frustrating. I know it sounds like they are backed up but not sure how that is effecting apps......just keep waiting I guess.

It's funny that they are already possibly feeling the affects of this 1500 rule.
NEWS FLASH TO MANAGEMENT: there are plenty of pilots out there with over 1500hrs. If you can't find them it's because your compensation is too low. If you can't afford to pay more then maybe you have a flawed business model.
We just lost a ton of mechanics and INC reported that it cost them $8million. Stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime seems to be the new way around here.
I hope that this shortage really does exist because that should raise the value of a pilot. Instead they will just figure out ways to hire unqualified pilots I suspect.

If you hire guys with 6 or 700 hours now, I don't think there is any doubt they'll have 1500 hours in TWO years. Expect 1000 hour hard minimums by year's end.
They're already advising FOs to get their ATP writtens done and expect to be told when they'll have to do their ATP.

Did you contact the union to get your job back? There's at least one celebrated case of a pilot that quit to go to a major and they took him back subsequently at his old seniority.

If you dont mind me asking why do you want to give up the police gig? Put in 20 years and fly whatever you want in retirement with free medical for life. Civil service seems to be the hot ticket for a career.
