Doubt it .... When the old heads start retiring at the top. The regionals will defiantly see a shortage with no one coming up the pipeline.

Does anyone know how far back new-hire classes are scheduled for right now for somebody having a successful interview?

Seriously, most regional are gearing up for the 1500 rule. I am not making this up, the mins now for XJ seem to be 1200/100 and will only go up.
I know because I am applying!

Sorry, should have been more clear. You are correct about regionals getting ready for the new rule including ours, my friend just got hired but was told to get 1200. I meant that I don't see the mins reaching the 2000/500 mark again.

I interviewed the first week of Feb, and received a call yesterday from XJT congratulating me on passing the interview. I was told however that because of the FAA's NPRM I will be placed into a hiring pool until I obtain 1200TT. What Im curious about is one of the other individuals that ended up interviewing with me has 800TT while I have just over 1000TT. She however received a class date, I didnt. Any advice guys? has this ever happened to any of you?

The company doesn't look at just your TT. When I interviewed in September last year if you had any of the following you'd be eligible for reduced mins:

- Aviation degree
- Jet experience
- RJ course
- 121 experience
- Internship with any 121 carrier
- Good college GPA (2.5 or better I think)

So, my guess is that the person who got offered a class date with less time than you probably had one or a combination of the things I listed above. I could be totally wrong, too. Who knows.

Either way, congrats on passing the interview, now just hustle and get that time! It shouldn't take long to get 200 hours, depending on where you live.

I currently have 150 ME and I think I remember her telling me she had about 75 or so. she did tell me she has a type on a citation, maybe that makes her more marketable than me?
