LASA was still losing just a bit because of the new Delta rates. This was 9 months ago. This is why they want concessions now, to lock in lower labor rates for years before they start showing profits from the merger and before new aircraft come online.

You have to admit it wouldn't be very far fetched for a management guy to say this side or that side is losing money and we need to take a pay cut.

As I'm sure you know they report earnings for Inc., not SKYW/LASA/LXJT separately. That may be to their advantage.

I am aware of that but I don't care what our current or future margins are. I do my job and go home, I'm just trying to debunk some of the stupid rumors on here.

What is it you want me to admit I'm wrong about? Last time I checked, I've been completely right. On the rare occasion I miss something, I've been the first to confess, see a few pages back if you need an example.

Thanks for your pity, however, it is not needed.

You're missing the point between wanting more and being selfish. I've already stated I'm not for concessions. As for what you guys want, voiced here on this forums only, would be foolish. Contract workers is all we are, a set price determined by the negotiations of our management. Price yourself out of the game and you'll no longer play. It's a simple equation really, which is being undermined by younger, newly established players, ie. GoJetzzz. I'm not here to stay, I'm sure you're not either, why price yourself out before you get the chance to leave. Modest pay raise, a little better work rules, I'm happy to sign and be out the door.

S7FU - I see what you did there, clever. No I will not S7FU and you sir are more than welcome to block me.

XJET Guys:
Not "flame", just simply trying to understand the way many of you state things on here...

I constantly hear talk about management wanting "concessions". I remember when negotiations started either BH himself or the ASA MEC sent a memo stating that the company has stated from the beginning that they are "not looking for any concessions" etc. It was very clear that worst case scenario life would remain the same or better. (lets not talk about inflation etc. I understand how that works).

As I understand it you guys are currently paid very similar to us with your CURRENT contract. Yes I understand this is a concessionary contract you are under. But I also understand you guys were losing money at a rapid rate before the "acquisition" (calm down... reference any CT Jet Stream, he uses/used that word quiet a bit) by SkyWest Inc. Therefore, as I see it, you guys had a contract that was putting you out of business.

If what I said above is true about your current situation I personally find it wrong and ultimately foolish for any of you to call anything management wants at this time a "concession" just because of what you had as your company was on it's way to bankruptcy. From what I understand about the work on our current JCBA, anything management wants right now is a pay raise from what you currently have. Hence, not a concession.

I guess until Delta, United, US Air get their pensions, full pay, benefits, etc. from the glory days back they should walk around saying they are operating on a concessionary contract too?

When/if the TA ever comes out, if it increases pay or keeps it the same from what you currently have, it's not a concession in my eyes.

I will also add that I feel many of you think our contract is worse than it truly is. Before you say our current contracts we are operating under are not similar, please actually understand what ours has. I personally don't have the time to look at yours and that is why I stated, "as I understand".
