What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

JustAnotherPLT, I hope you represent the views of a small minority of ASA pilots. If not we're all screwed no matter what side you're on. Try to be a little less divisive will you? Do you think that you're part of the problem or solution? You calling someone a child is pretty ironic. You come on here and gloat about the demise of PILOTS. Pilots who you will work side by side with someday.
You're a regional FO do you think you earn a wage that accurately reflects the education, training, and responsibility that you have?

I earn a wage that reflects the current market environment. What I think I should earn is irrelevant. If it was up to me I'd pay myself at least 500k a year with 12 weeks vacation.

I believe my views would be apart of the solution.

Lets not open a pandora box of endless arguments. The debate about quality and cost of higher education in the country has no foreseeable end insight. Do you believe a doctor, lawyer, or trash man receive adequate compensation? The complexities of our industry and competitiveness of others drive our wages. We are where we can sustain a business.

To be honest, I feel I represent some, not all, views of the ASA side. We would like to move on with this contract but it seems we've hit a bump in the road, LXJT. The conversations I have with people I fly with seem to drum up the same conclusion, LXJT is being difficult. This isn't a personal attack, it's a business attack. You feel strongly about, well, whatever it is you feel strongly about. Work rules, the state of the industry, etc. I would say some on our side feel a little different.
I don't see why I have to be less divisive. My comment above is humorous. PizzaPilot posted out of strong emotions and published erroneous numerical data, only to confess later. Am I not allowed to post a funny picture? I will not apologize that you've taken offense.

What responsibility? The Captain gets paid much more than me to take on that responsibility. My duties are to assist him, and I do whatever he says unless it will get me killed, violated or fired. And by him I also me she/her too.

Are you on the negotiating committee or do you just come on here and bash an entire pilot group based on rumors?

The company says your PBS will not be in the new contract. They want a next-gen system like the new Smartpref, so that is why we are testing it for phase two. The company hates your PBS and so we would have to make concessions on it (no mo vaca low) to keep it. No thanks, besides the XJT line bidding is cheaper for the company than your PBS. I'm not taking concessions to keep your awesome PBS and I don't think you want to either. We want this done soon but not at a loss of QOL. I talk to my rep, the NC Chairman, and our MEC chairman regularly and stay informed, it seems your knowledge comes from multiple online forums and line pilot rumors. Until there is a new contract I will keep my 16-18 days off and 3 weeks vacation and also making over 50k a year (almost 7th yr pay) with a 9% 401k contribution from the company for only putting in 5% myself. The ironic part is, because of the new Delta rates, the LXJT side is the only side making money for XJT. Luckily the new AA flying is profitable for ya'll. We all want a new contract and a profitable company but we will not take concessions to make it happen.
Enjoy your PBS while you can because the only one pushing for it is the ASA MEC. The hammer that you keep talking about is just a 3% lost of block hours for LXJT next year and that has nothing to do with Jerry, it is United dropping unprofitable flying. We got extra block hours this year for picking up Colgan flying.

Your posts are getting annoying. Our MEC isn't doing anything to hurt our group. The company wants concessions and is not willing to show any proof that they are warranted. They are stalling this, not the XJT MEC.
