Can't be! No good information EVER comes from these meetings. It's just a Union Love Fest!

Id go to a lot more of them if they were actually at a time when a lot of us arent working...

Enough of L-XJT, let's talk about the good stuff. If no MIA base, why in the world are they doing overwater certification on the 200? My only guess would be AMR flying in San Juan to replace the ATR
Who said Miami is dead?

A sudden rush to get the contract done and a soon to be iron fist to LXJT means something. One thing Skywest has we don't, dual qual.

Eagle is receiving new airplanes and hiring, I think we will get a nice chunk of that pie.

I think Bozo killed off the MIA base rumor. 100% agree on the AMR flying. I think it a matter of when not if. 120 new hires the rest of the year is a great sign

Just curious as to what you and others on here mean by this? And other sly hints of some "hammer" coming down on the ERJ folks soon. Is this something the ERJ side should know? There is a lot of spouting off of rumors on both sides of the fence. Nothing from the union (I've tried asking, not much of a response).

I'd like to know what our MEC is supposedly doing at these negotiations to give you guys such a bad opinion of L-XJT guys? As I said earlier in this thread, I think most guys on the line just want to get this done and dusted and to move on. There seems to be some real vitriol towards us normal line pilots over at L-XJT at the moment, and I don't think it's warranted.

We know our 50 seaters are coming to the end of their useful life. So what's the real story here? We don't hear much from our union.

Reference Bozo's last post quoting your rep.
Also, even if the ERJ reps did tell you everything they knew its not like St. George is going to tell them "hey play nice or else". They will just do it if you continue to think you can be paid like mainline while being a contract carrier competing against others like Mesa and GoJets. I want the best contract in the regional industry that will allow my company to operate indefinitely, I don't want yours that was driving you guys to bankruptcy.

Bozo, you're on a streak and I almost always agree with you. But, Miami has as much of a chance of happening as it doesn't. Still working out details. After all, DFW was going to be 14 planes but ended up being 11. Things change while the agreement is made. I'll look at the Miami side of this deal, and you look at the side which states DFW will grow. Either way we are talking about the same deal that is being worked on.

I don't think I said MIA was dead did I? I feel that it is just not at the top right now but yes that can change. I was told, I do not know if it is true, that the ERJ was never certified for "ditching". IF and I say IF this is true then I would think that MIA would still be in play possibly.

Correct, our ERJs are not certified for ditching. We are limited to flights within 50nm of land. However, I believe there is an exemption in place if a life raft is installed on the ERJ.

There is a difference between the operator being approved over water and the aircraft being certified over water. I was told the ERJ was not certified for over water. The CRJ is certified for over water.
