I thought American Eagle was a company and non-Eagle operators for American were "American Connection"

How can they brand themselves as Eagle when there actually exists an airline named American Eagle?

I believe American Connection is going away. Everyone is going to be American Eagle now that flies under the American banner. That is if I read the email right. As far as what happens to AE the company... I dont know.

The way I understand it, American owns the Eagle name so they're just going to brand all contractors in that. If I heard right, the 'company' American Eagle is being renamed. Shoot me if I'm wrong.

You mean like how Chautauqua started flying as Continental Express after ExpressJet had been Continental Express Airlines, Inc? (Other airlines even after the COEX name change to XJT had still been Continental Connection)

The precedent has already been set. The Eagle guys who remember XJT's spin-off from Continental know what's coming.
American announced that they are completely doing away with "American Connection" if you didn't see the press release.

Get ready folks. Things are going to get better here on the CRJ side. Look for EFB's to come soon. Word on the street is we are getting An additional 22 700/900 CRJ A/C. Announcement pending. MIA is looking good as a base. Right now we have 45 positions on the 700/900 for both Capt and FO about to be finalized, and With the possible 22 additional A/C to be announced looks like more upgrades and hiring.
