There are no loopholes, they cannot cut our airplanes while putting out an RFP for other aircraft.
Doing anything to the contrary would result in SKYW inc. suing United.

And you know that they can put out a new RFP also for more a/c?
Read the fine print and between the lines. There are loopholes.

Sir, you have a great deal to learn about contracts. There are always loopholes. Just look at your current agreement.
INC suing UAL, now that's a good one! JA helped them out with a loan. You don't think that UAL will return the favor? What was the game CAL and JA pulled on you guys. What did JA walk away with? What did you guys walk away with? I think JA came out ahead on that one.
Your playing checkers when JA is playing chess. Good luck.

Good luck if you commute. I hear our commuter clause is pretty good, but I have no experience with it. Overall this is a good place to be while waiting for Delta/FedEx/SWA/etc.. to call.

I am Atlanta based and I like it here. I don't mind reserve, when I have it. When I bid for a line, I generally have 4 day trips over the weekend. When I bid reserve, I generally have weekends off, and end up with extra days off. Looks like I will end up with 17 days off for September (they didn't use me 6 days, but I was available). Dulles only has something like 15 FO's on reserve, so there are lots of people junior to me who bid IAD to hold a line, but I would rather have 6am reserve over the weekend than commute for an FO position at a regional.

You are guaranteed 11 days off, if you are on reserve. If you live in base, and they don't call you, you essentially have a day off at home, you just can't drink a beer. I have had 6 of those this month. We do have long call reserve, which is a 12 hour call, but the company uses the long call folks first, so you will probably fly on long call. If you are on short call, you have to be within 2 hours of the airport when they call, so you won't be at home if you are a commuter. I think the most I have had off is 20 days with about 8 1/2 hours of flying for the month, but that is very rare. As a new hire, expect 06:00 or 09:00 reserve period, which will potentially have you commuting in the night before. You may get off early enough on your last day to commute home, but don't count on it. If I were you, I would consider a move in to base, if possible, but that's just me.

Got a call today from xjt, they just asked if I was still interested and they were calling people to get a count because they expect a class soon but again they said it wasn't definite 100% yet and didn't know wether crj or erj

Are there a lot of people leaving on the ERJ side? Seems like all of the hiring has been going over there this year. What's the deal with that?
