You noticed that too, huh?

AA flight benefits suck in general. If you have to commute on them, you pay to go to work! Talk about suck!

Does that include standard jumpseating?

I believe if you aren't occupying the actual jumpseat, then the answer is yes.

As far as I know and from what I've been told by my Eagle pilot friends, yes! If you list for the jumpseat and a seat is open in the back, you will flow back and get charge. One of my friends at Eagle paid over $250 last year just for getting to/from work.

The good news is that most of the XJT guys that will bid DFW live in the area and will drive to work.

I agree that AA travel benefits are a bit more pricier (if your are less than 5 years on company) than others, but in general I think they are some of the best for regional carriers. The main thing is that there is no differentiation between eagle and AA. That is, if you list yourself for a flight and checkin right at the 24 hour period (when checkin opens), you get a seat before anyone who checks in after you, AA or Eagle. You don't have to worry about getting bumped at the last minute by someone super senior or on AA side. This makes non-rev traveling a lot easier and predictable. We do get a few higher level priority non-rev passes that put you above others, but everyone gets them too (unlike the "vacation passes").

But yes, most people who commute with less than 5 years on company try to commute on other carriers so it's free or pony up the 11 bucks for a ride. That would add up quickly I'd imagine.

That must have been CC from IAD wanting to go back to DFW. I've heard he's going to try to be the CP in DFW.

Well, it started out being 14 in the Oct 8th class then it went to 18 now it's 24. Oh yeah, CRJ.

Wow, good to hear. Maybe it will be like two years ago and all of a sudden they immediately need 3 classes of 24.
Hear anything on where/if growth is coming from?

Perhaps someone in the GO had a synapse fire and came to the realization that 98hr TLVs are unsustainable in the long term......
