The fact that they are calling people but not telling them wether it's CRJ or ERJ makes me think it'll be CRJ. I'm sure there is some more RJ's coming our way (PNCL) that will be announced in a bit.

They are holding off. Some other chips to be dealt out to the crj side.

So are we just running one class of CRJ or is there another to follow?

When is this vacancy bid coming out? I would like to start strategizing my plan and the future of ATL CRJ FO.

What's the word about 900's at the expense of PNCL?

It's very annoying to check company mail looking for a vacancy bid when it's another email on vacation bidding instructions

Yea sounds like it. Otherwise I think there would be more news about the bid if it was ONLY DFW we are dealing with.

Had one cynical captain hypothesize that they were going to wait until after the vacation bid closed so all of those guys get screwed out of their bid. Todays vacation bid q&a kind of makes me agree.

Thanks. I'd like to see it soon, as would many others.

ALPA rep told me yesterday they were planning on the bid opening at the end of the month. The flying might delayed until a FEB start date..... For what that's worth.

How would they get screwed out of their bid? My understanding is that when you change bases you hold the same week you were awarded.

If it's not available then you bid in vacation "opentime". When the guys leave for DFW, their ATL vacation weeks are put into ATL vacation "opentime" so that the ATL pilots can bid for those weeks in the weekly vacation bid.

It seems like we are going to have lower boarding priority even on our airplanes when non-reving in the AMR system.
