30 E175 ordered by United not coming to Skywest Inc. Management believes United will need alot more than 30 aircraft, and thinks that move by United was them trying to diversify their UAX partners

Skywest Airlines earnings doubled due to the success of its pro-rate flying agreements

It is better than nothing. That is $60 or $XX every quarter I get for just showing up to work and doing my job. Ask around the regional world and see how many other regionals still give performance bonuses. You won't find a whole lot. I used to b!tch about it, too, but it's extra beer money.

Perspective.

That post tax amount pales in comparison to how much is CHRONICALLY underpaid due to the cluster-foxtrot abortion that is Painmaker. I mean, Rainmaker.

And ALL the time, effort, energy, and UNPAID time that goes into tracking pay, making crew comments, IOR's, unanswered emails, etc etc etc JUST TRYING TO GET PAID CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!

TFAYD, give us a year, just because we don't always get it right doesn't mean we aren't trying...........

Pick whatever lame excuse you wish that management used to justify their complete lack of competence and ability to simply pay people correctly.

^^^^^^^^This.

As far as payroll screwups, it's just easier to NOT fix it and pay people incorrectly. The amount they save, even if it's only a dollar here or there by not paying correctly by the crew members that don't catch exceeds those that do catch it. And spend all sorts of unpaid time getting the company to pay it out.

Interesting, perhaps Compass then? They are the only carrier that could put E-175s in service starting in 2014.

They'd also meet the "diversifying" requirement. Unless SkyWest is wrong about that, then it's probably going to RAH

Excluding RAH, maybe.

But there's A LOT of variables to consider.

The DAL flow taking CPZ CA's, combined with standard attrition, combined with difficulty of finding ATP min pilots, combined with rest rules may make it difficult for ANYBODY to staff the 175's REGARDLESS of if they are currently on the carrier's certificate or not.

Assuming a large chunk all go to one carrier anyway.

Ask around the Atlanta ramp and see what kind of a performance payout the rampers are getting.

Whatever they are getting must be better than what DTW B&C concourse rampers are getting

We could do it, if we started now.
