6months to test. Look for the approval around May or so. Once approved the company will pay you back the money it cost to go and buy one. It will be yours so if you break it you have to replace it yourself. The first one is on them

And the LXJT side loses the other half of their OJI bank.

No memo. I asked someone in the testing program how this was going to work. What I wrote is what was said. Made sense to me. Also you must have a back up charger for the iPad and it must be charged to 100%on the first flight of every day

That'll be good if the company provides you with the ipad, or reimburses you for one you bought for work. Eagle has us buy our own (it's not mandatory, so a lot of guys are still carrying paper), plus the extra battery and ram mount. The expense adds up. I hope Eagle takes note and offers us some kind of relief on the cost of this. If it becomes mandatory, I think they'll have to.

latest I have heard is that they decided against the ipad in favor of some sort of microsoft tablet because that is what Delta will be using. Not sure if there is any truth to that.

Is that when they told you about the DXB codeshare and operating the DL 717s?

I also spoke to an EFB Project LCA and the same was said. I had the conversation last summer and the timeframe seems about right as the government shutdown did cause timeline shift to the right.

Well UAL (and AA I believe) use iPads. So that doesn't make sense.

On the Contract Facebook page someone posted a screenshot of the ERJ FO opentime. I have never seen so much open time, let alone it was all 200% pay
