Also, it's rumored that the United TA will move in the Delta direction regarding scope, and this will speed up the 50-seater to 70-seater conversion. A pretty reliable authority over at the GO has stated that as things stand with the merger and the state of the discussions with the XJT folks, ERJs are going to be traded in for large CRJs to be flown by the ASA group (and, of course, the combined New ExpressJet group if the XJT MEC starts seeing things the St George way). Inc is, afterall, the largest CRJ operator in the world and enjoys the associated unit cost benefits as a result. They're making it sound like the ATL schoolhouse is going to be *very* busy in 2013. This is why they're keeping the IP force pretty fat and not furloughing them back to the line as they did back in 09.
