Today 1200TT required for interview or to be placed in class...no exceptions.

1235 TT required beginning October 01. Increasing by
35 hours per month after that.

Thanks HR5900!
Are too stubborn to see this is the best thing to ever happen to this industry? God forbid you have to work a little longer to get into a crappy regional.

I'm sure LOT's of CA's are saying the same thing! It would be nice to have new hires that know how to fly and airplane with stick and rudder (leave the yaw damper comments to yourself it's a figure of speech) skills rather than button pushing. I've had to listen to many guy's blabbing about how there last FO had 400 hr's and couldn't handle basic hand flying on a visual approach to the point of getting aural warnings.

I just saw this very same thing from a 9+ year FO while jumpseating home the other night but there are alway's going to be those type's.

And those guys will become Captains one day. Never experienced a PIC scenario until in the left seat of a passenger carrying jet.

You should have experienced something along the lines if you are committed to actually getting your ATP. Finally you are forced to do the right thing.

Thanks HR5900!!

Have not heard, but the number if pilots is increasing, so the block hours should be as well.

But I also heard some of our most senior captains on 700 are most dangerous people to fly with at the company

Truth, but not for lack of experience. Mostly because they are deteriorating... eyes, ears getting worse, decision making skills slowing down, also the "been there done that" attitude that spirals into a hazardous attitude. Also Aeromed examiners who pencil whip their med certs and send them on their way. 65 is pushing it, cannot imagine the backlash if they try for an older retirement

If you're headed to IAD, good luck, it's gonna be a crazy winter on the east coast! (Winter Weather Forecast)
